So I am struggling to troubleshoot a piece of machinery I have. I have a current error of ...
“Error starting TwinCAT system! Init17\IO: Open Devices: Device IBS Master 1 (IBS SC/I-T) opened .. AdsWarning: 8322 (0x2082, IO:IBS SC activate config failed)"
I have checked all interbus modules, cables, and everything checks out. I have even replaced the IBS PCI card in the CPU, and reinstalled the drivers, but still no luck. Anybody have any ideas? Usually when I have an interbus failure, it states the name of the bus coupler where the error is coming from. (TwinCAT2)
Any help would be much appreciated.
@ddt Hi, I would suggest using the Free Run Mode and making sure each module is in the OP state without any errors before trying to activate the configuration.
Can this be done through system manager?
Problem solved. There was a failure on an AO card. I was able to use windows event logger to see that a couple weeks prior there were intermittent faults occurring. The faults told me which I/O rack, and then the device/card number (10). Strange thing is that these cards usually blink an error code when they fail, but this one was blinking the same as the rest (bus not active).
