Restoring CoE parameters to the factory default settings
If the ethercat terminal doesn't have the default CoE parameters off the shelf, you can follow these steps to restore the parameters back to the factory default settings. CoE parameters are saved in the terminal itself.
Select the terminal under I/O - Devices and double click to open the settings window .
Go to 'Coe-Online' Tab and expand the 'Restore default parameters' index. Then you will see the 'SubIndex 001' which can be writable. Double click the SubIndex, this will bring up the 'Set Value Dialog' window. Click on the 'Hex Edit...' button.
On the hex editor window, you will see four dots where we will be typing the command. Take the cursor and select the first dot.
Type 'load' and click Okay.
Converted hex 'load' string value will be displayed. Click Okay.
Now you will see that all the CoE parameters are set back to the factory values for the terminal.

@beckhoffsupport This is just for the Object which has Back up flag in Profile right? I still think that the objects's value or setting of Slave in CoE Online will be automatically restored to factory setting every time the system restarts because the CoE OD is just for a specific application
@giant-d CoE parameters are stored in the terminal itself. You could do this when you want all the parameters in the terminal to be back to default values. If you want, you can use the Startup tab and add some parameters there to be effective at every system start.

Nice! I vaguely recall seeing this in a device document years ago. I think the instructions said to write 0x64616F6C, I didn't realize that LOAD was the ascii. 🤣
@johnny Yes, memorizing LOAD is way easier than 0x64616F6C 😀
