I use a IV3-Sensor from Keyence with Ethercat Terminal to my Plc.

I wannt to pick a foam ring with a Roboter, and with the Camera i try to adjust the position to grip.

I am able to trigger the Sensor from the Plc and can read out Coordinates from the different tools.

But on the other hand i am a bit disappointed with the documentation and the missing of a library from Keyence.

I downloaded the most recent Esi-File from the Page, and the Mappings of the PDO and the CoE Parameter do not add up to the Docu.

So i am forced to try and fail alot, to find out, which Parameter goes where.

Is this a common Problem or am i missing something?

Hi Roman,

Unfortunately, I do not have any helpful advice for the Keyence IV3. However, I previously used a Keyence IV2 with a Beckhoff controller via TCP/IP.

The documentation from Keyence for TCP/IP communication was very thorough; so I made a dictionary of the types of operations I wanted to command the IV2 sensor to perform, and called that has necessary from the PLC.
