I ran into a interesting situation this week. I have to connect with a Beckhoff PLC externally, to a Linux based CNC via OPC UA, verificated by certificates.

The problem is that, no matter how i convert, modify, create the certificates, it looks like, that the ClientIO can not use certificates for identification, neither the Gateway. I found a software, called Cogent DataHUB. That way, somehow i could manage to connect to the external OPC UA Server, but that program is not able to handle OPC UA Functions/methods.

Have anyone faced this problem? Please write me your opinions, that how could it be solved.
