Hi all,

Finally a Beckhoff community! Thanks to whomever decided to create it 😉

To the point... At work we have issues ever since using build 4024. We are able to add both secure and unsecure routes (tested fingerprint & preshared key methods) but whenever the PLC is rebooted or a configuration update is activated we seem to lose these routes. This causes us mayor headaches whenever our production lines lose all communication...
Any ideas?

Thanks a lot!

Bart

P.S. Is anyone else experiencing TwinCAT service stopping at random when using the preshared key method?

@bartdr88 Hi! Thank you! Welcome to the community!

Have you already seen this

You can try the steps below:

    1.Delete the routes on the IPC

    2.Delete the routes on your computer/laptop

    3.Check the routes file located at C:\TwinCAT\3.1\Target\StaticRoutes.xml to see if you notice any issue for the Route XML tags

    4. Start fresh without routes:

StaticRoutes.xml:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<TcConfig xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
	<RemoteConnections>
	</RemoteConnections>
</TcConfig>

    5.Restart the IPC

@beckhoffsupport Yes I've seen it (at least now I did 😉 ). The problem on our side isn't so much that we can't create a route. When we add the route the lock or "s" symbol do appear and we are perfectly able to exchange variables. When either of the connected PLC's is rebooted or gets a configuration update, we lose the routes.
Strange thing is that most routes to our older PLC's which run a 4012 build (unsecure) are not lost. They remain alive...

When the route is succesfully added and we are exchanging variables, I do notice some weird warning.
