Issue with creating virtual serial ports

We are using the Beckhoff EL6022 slice to create 2 virtual serial ports on a remote windows PC.
However there appears to be a limitation that if the Remote PC is not fully booted at the time that TwinCat attempts to create the ports the CX processor does not go into run mode and stays in config mode until rebooted or the local power is cycled.
Given that the Beckhoff CX PC will always boot quicker than a standard Windows 10 IoT PC on initial power up of the system will always get stuck with the CX PC in config mode.

Has anyone worked out a way around this or is there a way to remotely put the CX PC back into run mode over the ADS interface?
