We noticed that, when using ModbusRTUmaster, to communicate with our modbus devices, the PLC introduce 6 PLC cycle delay, above and beyond the actual modbus transfer (RS-485). Does anyone knows why such unnecessary delay in the function block?

BTW, Beckhoff refused to explain the delay, and cited it as we are NOT privy to such information.
